One Time Password or OTP is a temporary numeric password that secures your Online Banking login and transactions. It is a unique 6-digit code that can only be used once. It will be sent to your registered mobile number or by using the OTP Generator.
If you have a Metrobank Mobile Banking account, instead of receiving OTP via SMS, you can activate the OTP Generator in your account. Using OTP Generator, it will register your mobile device to automatically generate OTP in every transaction that you will execute.

1 Open the Metrobank Mobile app. Enter your Username and Password. Tap the LOGIN button to go to your account.
2 Press the Edit Profile icon beside your name.
3 Tap the ACTIVATE button to start the process.
4 It will detect the Device Name and Device ID of the smart phone you are using. To activate the OTP generator, press the YES button.
5 Tap the ACCEPT button to agree with the terms and conditions of using the app.
6 An OTP or One-Time Password will be sent to your registered mobile device. Enter the 6-digit OTP in space provided and press the SUBMIT button.
7 You will receive an SMS once your request to activate OTP Generator has been successful.
Once it is activated, in every transaction that you will execute, such as fund transfer, bills payment and other services, the app will automatically generate an OTP.
