How to transfer fund from Metrobank to other Local Bank via InstaPay

With InstaPay, you can now transfer funds in real-time between accounts of participating BSP-supervised banks and non-bank e-money issuers in the Philippines. It is an electronic fund transfer (EFT) service where you can transfer money electronically and make the funds available to their recipient instantly.

To send money via InstaPay, customers need to access their bank’s or e-money issuer’s mobile app or internet banking facility, choose to send to another institution via InstaPay, and provide the required details.

For customers with Metrobank Online Banking accounts, below is the step-by-step guide on how to send money from your Metrobank Online account to any local bank with InstaPay using Metrobank Mobile Banking app.

Transfer to other Bank - Local Bank

1. Open the Metrobank Mobile app. Enter your Username and Password. Tap the LOGIN button to go to your account.

 

2. On the left side menu, press the TRANSFER TO OTHER BANK option. 

3. To transfer to a non-Metrobank Account, two options are available: InstaPay and PesoNet. For this tutorial, InstaPay will be used. Select that option to continue. 

Note: Service Charge using Instapay was waived during the ECQ or Lockdown period.

4. For One-Time Transfer, press the TRANSFER button. 

5. Select the Local Bank where you want to send the fund. Then, enter the details of the bank account and other information required for the transfer. Tap the NEXT button for the next step.

6. Select the source account for your money transfer. 

7. Enter the amount to be transferred. The maximum limit  for daily transaction per source account is PhP 50,000.00. Then, tap the NEXT button. 

8. Review the details of the transaction. You can add some remarks or message to recipient. Then, press the SUMBIT button to process the transfer.

9. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number via SMS. Enter the 6-digit OTP and tap the SUMBIT button. Or, if your OTP Generator has been activated, it will automatically generate an OTP.

10. Now, the transaction is in-process. An SMS will be received once the transaction is successful. A reference number is also generated for the transaction.

Ask the recipient if the amount has been received in the provided account.
