Ways to fund your Shopee Pay account

ShopeePay is the Shopee’s digital wallet which can be used for cashless payments by the Shopee users. It can be used for:

  • Online transactions within Shopee:
    • Buying Mobile Load
    • Bills Payment
  • Offline (QR) transactions with merchants who accept payment via ShopeePay
  • Receiving or sending money to your contacts
  • Bank transfers for your funds to your bank account

To pay for your items that you kept in your cart for a long time, you need to fund your Shopee Wallet/Shopee Pay account. There are many ways to fund your Shopee account, either online or over the counter. For online, you can pay via your e-wallet, debit card/credit card, online banking account and even linked your bank account for easy funding. While for over the counter payment, you can proceed to any partner-bank and payment center to do the cash-in.

To access the Cash-In option in Shopee app:

  1. Tap the Me icon in the main menu of Shopee app located at the bottom page.
  2. Then, under the My Wallet section, select Shopee Pay button.
  3. To fund your wallet account, tap the Cash In button.
  4. And it will display the list of option to cash-in your account.
 

1 Cash-in via Debit Card/Credit Card

To cash-in using your debit card or credit card, under the Debit Card option, tap Add New Debit Card. This will open a new page where you need to enter your debit card or credit card details. You need to input the card number, expiry date, and the name on the card. Then, enter the billing address and zip code. Submit your request and wait for the approval. 

Once approved, your debit card or credit will be listed as an option to fund your Shopee Pay or pay for any Shopee online transaction.

2 Linked Bank Account

By linking your bank to Shopee Pay account, it will be easier to fund your wallet. Currently there are two banks available that can be linked to your account:

  • BPI Online
  • Union Bank

Just tap the bank and follow the instructions to complete the link authorization. You need to input your BPI or Union Bank username and password to approve the linkage. 

Cash-in using the linked account is free and no additional transaction fee.

To link a Union Bank account to your Shopee Pay account:

  1. Tap Union Bank under Linked Bank Accounts option.
  2. Press Link Bank Account Now button.
  3. Enter the username and password of your Union Bank online account and tap LOG IN button.
  4. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Input that 6 digit code in the space provided. And click SUBMIT button.
  5. Select the Union Banak account that you want to link and press AUTHORIZE button.
  6. A notification will be displayed the you successfully link the account. Tap Ok button to go back to your Shopee wallet.

3 Payment Center/E-Wallet

To cash-in via Payment Center/E-Wallet, select the Payment Center and follow the payment instructions to complete the funding of your Shopee account. A transaction code or reference number will be generated that you need to show to the teller/cashier that will be used to complete the transaction. Please note that there is a 1% admin fee applies if you use this option.

4 Over-the-Counter banking

Via Over-the-Counter Banking, just select the bank from the list and follow the payment instructions. A transaction code or reference number will be generated. Then, proceed to the bank to complete the transaction.

5 Online Banking/InstaPay

To fund your Shopee account via online banking or InstaPay, follow the following instruction:

  1. Login to your online banking app or internet banking or e-wallet account.
  2. Select Bank Transfer or Send to another bank.
  3. Choose the account from which the amount will be deducted
  4. From the list of bank, select Shopee Pay or Shopee Pay Philippines.
  5. Enter the receiver’s Shopee mobile number as the account number.
  6. Enter the amount to be transferred
  7. Review the details and confirm to process the transaction.
  8. A notification will be displayed once the transaction is successful.
Please note that there is an additional transaction fee for each successful fund transfer.

6 TouchPay

 

To cash in via TouchPay, select the TouchPay from the list and follow the instructions to generate a reference number. Then, proceed to any TouchPay machine to complete the transaction. 

7 Shopee Loan (SLoan)

Shopee Loan is a new feature which is offered to any eligible Shopee members. Once approved and activated, you will be able to get up to Php 50,000 in loans. You can use this amount to fund your Shopee Pay account and use to pay any Shopee transactions.

You can cash in or receive a balance of up to Php 50,000 for unverified accounts, and up to Php 100,000 for verified accounts.

You can use ShopeePay to pay for transactions of up to Php 100,000, as long as you have sufficient funds within your account. The minimum amount required for each ShopeePay transaction is Php 1.
