Cash-in via Western Union
1 On the main dashboard, tap the Cash In icon to start the process.
2 Under Remittance, select the Western Union icon.
3 Enter the required information:
- Input the expected amount in Peso – If the amount is sent is in foreign currency, use the currency exchange rate conversion to estimate the amount.
- MTCN – Money Transfer Control Number, this is the Western Union transaction number required to receive the money
- Country of Birth – Select the country where you were born
Read the terms and conditions of using this feature, then tap the NEXT button to process the transaction.
What is MTCN? It is the 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) on the receipt you get each time you send money via Western Union. This Western Union tracking number is required by the receiver to claim the remittance money.
NOTE: Never share or give to anyone your MTCN number.
4 Review the details and tap the CONFIRM button.
5 Your GCash cash-in through Western Union has been successful.
You will receive an SMS for a successful transaction and the amount will be added to your GCash fund.
