The National Police Clearance System is a nationwide issuance of police clearance thru online application which seeks to improve the process for criminal records check. The PNP Clearance is one of the requirements for any legal purposes and transactions in the Philippines, for example, applying for a job.
With this system, the PNP created an online registration and application services to obtain a National Police clearance. With this e-service, you can register online and set an appointment date when going to any PNP Station to collect your NBI Clearance. Payment options for the transaction are also available through online banking and various over-the-counter payment centers.
Below are the step-by-step guide on how to apply National Police clearance online:
STEP 1. ONLINE REGISTRATION
Open the PNP Clearance link (https://pnpclearance.ph) to start the online registration.
Then, register an account by entering the details needed:
- Email Address
- Password
- Full Name
- Gender
- Birthdate
Tick the box to agree with the Terms and Conditions. And, click the Register button.
7. Once you have successfully registered your account, you can now sign in to your account.

STEP 2. ACCOUNT SIGN-IN
- To login, enter your Email address and Password created when you register your account. Then, click the Sign In button to open your account.
To complete your personal information, tap the Edit Profile button.
Enter the required details in each provided space: Applicant Profile, Contact and Address, Other Information, and Family Background.
Double check all the information you have entered. Then, click the SAVE PROFILE button to continue. And, it will show the complete details of your profile.
STEP 3. SET AN APPOINTMENT DATE
To apply for National Police clearance, go back to the main menu and click the Clearance Application button to proceed.
STEP 1: First, select the Police Station near your area or your preferred one.
Then, choose the date and time of your appointment at the selected police station.
STEP 2. Next, select the Payment Option to pay for the clearance fee. Select Landbank of the Phils button and tap the Next button.
STEP 3. Save the appointment and pay the fee.
STEP 4. PAY THE CORRESPONDING FEE
For payment, press the Click Here to Pay button and select the payment option from the list.
These are the payment option you can choose to pay for the National Police Clearance fee.

Once you select the payment option you prefer, follow the payment instructions as you proceed. A Reference Number will be assigned to your application and you will use this to pay for the fee.
You can see the details of your recent transaction under the Transactions tab. The Reference Number is now generated but the Status is still Pending until the payment is done.
After the payment has been successful, proceed back to Transaction tab. Wait for the confirmation of the payment. The Status will become Paid after the payment confirmation.
Once the Status is Paid, click the Details button. It will pop-up a message of the details of your PNP Clearance application.
STEP 5. PROCEED TO POLICE STATION OR PNP CLEARANCE CENTER
- Applicant can proceed to the selected Police Station on his/her scheduled date. Present the following to the Police Station.
- Two (2) valid issued ID
- Reference Number
- Official Receipt of payment
- Before the release of Clearance, applicant shall be required to have his/her biometrics, signature and photo captured.
For without “Hit”After completion of steps 1 to 3, wait for your name to be called for the release of your clearance.
For with “Hit”Wait for the advise or instruction of the Verification Officer for verification process. Once settled, clearance will be released.

As far as I know, you need to be physically present to get your police clearance. What you can do online is to set an schedule or appointment on when you want go to any Police station to get the clearance.
