Bayad, previously know as the “Bayad Center” is now has a wallet app where in you can pay bills, buy mobile load and send money to other e-wallets and local bank accounts via InstaPay. Currently, sending money from the Bayad app to other banks and e-wallet is free.
Once you have installed the new Bayad app to your smartphone, sign-up for an account and fund it to maximize the use of available app features. For now, there are two available options to fund your account: (1) through Bayad Center branch over-the-counter, and (2) via Online Banking. There are three more ways to add money, but still not active; those are using Debit or Credit Card, Kiosk, and Remittance Centers.
For easy and free funding of your Bayad app, there are 3 online banks that you can link to your account: these are BPI, RCBC, and Union Bank. By linking these accounts to your Bayad app account, you can easily cash-in with no additional service charge.
For this guide, it shows the steps on how to link your RCBC account to your Bayad app and fund it using the linked-RCBC account.
Link an RCBC account to Bayad account
- Once you log-in to your Bayad app, on the main dashboard, tap the Add Money icon.
- Select Online Banking tab and tap the RCBC logo/name.
- Enter the UserID and Password for your RCBC online account and press the Login button.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP that was sent to your registered mobile number.
- Set-up your 6-digit Mobile PIN (MPIN). This will be used to confirm your cash-in transaction. Once you enter and confirm your MPIN, tap Next button.
- You have successfully linked your RCBC account to your Bayad account. Tap OK, I GOT IT! button to go back to the Add Money menu.
Note: Linked account may be unlinked after 30 days of inactivity.
Add Money via RCBC-Linked account
You will notice that after linking the Union Bank account, an Unlink button will appear beside the Union Bank name. You have the option to unlink the account by clicking that button or it will be unlinked automatically after 30 days of inactivity. Now, follow the below steps to add money to your account:
- Tap the RCBC logo/name again.
- Select or enter the amount to be loaded. Minimum amount is PhP 300.00. Then, press the NEXT button.
- Review details and tap the CONFIRM button to proceed.
- Enter the 6-digit RCBC MPIN you created when you link the account.
- The transaction was successfully completed. Tap the DONE button. The amount will now appear in the Current Wallet Balance of your Bayad E-Wallet account.
