Have you ever received an email alert alarming you that your GCash account will be deactivated soon? An email claiming that you must take action by clicking a link in the message or pressing a button for a verification? THINK TWICE before you click. It could be a SCAM ALERT or PHISHING EMAIL you received sent by a fake GCash email address.

Phishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by disguising oneself as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Typically carried out by email spoofing or instant messaging, it often directs users to enter personal information on a fake website which matches the look and feel of the legitimate site.

GCash email address

The GCash legit email address is hello@gcash.com which normally sent email about any GCash new features and offers. This email will never sent a message asking to verify your GCash account or any other malicious emails.

If you encounter a suspicious transaction, never contact another platform and just use the GCash Help Center found within the GCash app.

Submit a Ticket

  1. To submit a ticket, in your GCash app, go to Profile tab and select Help.
  2. If you have issue with your account or any suspicious transaction has been made, you can submit a ticket, tap the Submit a Ticket button.
  3. Complete the details required and details of your concern and submit the form. You can also choose the Chat with Gigi, the GCash’s Virtual Assistant.

You can also call the GCash Support at 2882.

Please always be alert when identifying a phishing email. It may seem legit, but be careful in dealing with it. Never click a button included in the message. Do not reply to that type of email and immediately delete it from your inbox.

Beware and always be aware.
