Planning to transfer money from your Maya wallet or Maya Savings account to other e-wallets and local banks? Currently, if you send money via InstaPay using the Maya app, each fund transfer has an additional fee of P 15. But, using a workaround, you will be able to save the P15 fee and send money for free.
For a free fund transfer, you need to have a Maya virtual card which will be used to link your account to your ShopeePay account. To check the details of your Maya Virtual Card, select the Cards tab in your Maya app. Then, tap the card to flip to see the card details. Press the eye icon and it will display your 16-digit card number, expiry date, and the 3-digit CVV code. If do not have a virtual card yet, just apply for it in the app and link it to your Maya account.Â
This Maya Virtual Card is only an extension of your Maya e-wallet account. To use this card, you must ensure that your wallet has funds. Whatever amount available on your Maya wallet, that is the same amount you can spend or transfer using the virtual card.
Once you have all the details stated above, you can now transfer from your debit card to other local banks and e-wallets with no additional fee.

Keypoints and Takeaways
Online banking and fund transfer have been of great help these days, since you are not required to go a physical branch anymore just to withdraw money or transfer money to other accounts. However, using online transaction, banks are now implementing additional fees, ranging from P8-25 per transaction. With this, you will think if there is still a way to transfer funds for free. And you just read that there is a workaround for it.
You may be worried that your Debit Card details will be exposed online, as declared by Shopee, your bank details are protected and they do not have access to it. And as additional security, an OTP and PIN are required to complete the process. As long as your registered mobile number is with you, it is safe to do this option.
Aside from Maya Virtual Card, you can also use debit cards issued by other banks. Just link the card to your ShopeePay account and cash-in using that option. And once you have funds in your Shopee wallet, you can transfer it to other banks and e-wallet without any additional fees for 1st transfer per month. And use your SeaBank account to transfer more fund for free.
