Security Bank eGiveCash: Withdraw cash without your ATM card

“Experience better banking anywhere you go” – Security Bank tagline as they introduce their mobile banking app. This app can be downloaded to your smart phone via Google Play, App Store, or App Gallery. 

The Security Bank mobile app is designed to make it easy for customers to access their account online. The features that are available in the app are the following:

  • Fund Transfer
    • transfer funds to your other Security Bank accounts
    • send money via InstaPay to e-wallets (GCash, Pay Maya, etc) and other local banks (BDO, Metrobank, etc)
    • eGiveCash – cardless solution to send money and cash transfer without your ATM card
    • Receive eGiveCash
  • Pay bills
  • Buy mobile recharge/load
  • Schedule Transaction – pay bills or transfer funds on a later date or schedule date
  • Branch Map Locator

eGiveCash (Cardless Withdrawal)

 

eGiveCash is a cardless withdrawal feature available in the Security Bank app. Using this service, you can now withdraw money without your ATM card. You can also send money to your loved ones or anyone and withdraw the amount without your ATM card in any eGC-enabled Security Bank ATM. To know if the nearest Security Bank ATM near you is an eGC-enabled, you can check it on this list.

To make a request, you must login to your account via Security Bank mobile app. But, before making an eGiveCash transaction, here are the things you should know:

  • If you are sending the amount to yourself, you must use a different mobile number other than your registered mobile number as a separate SMS will be sent for withdrawal instructions
  • If you are sending money to your loved ones or anyone, make sure that they have an active mobile number or e-mail address (optional). The eGC Number will be sent to that number which will be used in the ATM withdrawal
  •  Minimum transaction is ₱ 500 and can request up to ₱ 10,000 per transaction (in denomination of P100). Please note that there is a monthly cash limit of P50,000 per mobile number
  • Once the request is approved, any pending eGiveCash transaction is valid for 14 calendar days. And if any pending transaction get expired, the amount will be credited back to the sender.
  • The amount can be withdrawn from any eGC-enabled Security Bank ATM
  • Any active eGC transaction can be cancelled anytime

Here are the steps to request an eGiveCash transaction on your Security Bank mobile app.

  1. Upon login, on the main dashboard, tap Transfers icon at the bottom.
  2. Under eGiveCash tab, tap Select Account (From) button.
  3. Select the Security Bank account from which the amount will be deducted.
  4. Next, tap Select Recipient (To) button.
  5. If there is no list of contact yet, press New Recipient button.
  6. Enter the details of the recipient; Name, Mobile Number and Email address (optional). And click Proceed button.
  7. Enter the amount to withdraw and purpose of the request (optional). Then, tap Send eGiveCash button.
  8. Review details and press Confirm button to process the request.
  9. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this 5-digit code in the space provided.
  10. A notification will appear once your request has been successful. 

Recipient Side:

Once you successfully created an eGiveCash request, the recipient will receive an SMS and email (if provided) about the transaction. It contains the 16-digit eGC number that will be used in the ATM withdrawal.

Sender Side:

While, the sender will receive a 4-digit pass code which also required to complete the withdrawal. Send this code to the recipient.

To withdraw the amount, proceed to any eGC-enabled Security Bank ATM. To know if the nearest Security Bank ATM near you is eGC-enabled, you can check it on this list. Take note that the validity of each request is 14 days.

  1. In the eGC-enabled Security Bank ATM, press the ENTER key button and follow the next instructions on the screen.
  2. Enter the 16-digit eGC number, 4-digit passcode and the amount indicated in the request.
  3. Get the cash and receipt from the ATM.

If you want to cancel your request, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the More icon found at the bottom of the page and select Scheduled Transactions.
  2. Under eGiveCash tab, choose the eGiveCash request you want to review.
  3. To cancel the transaction, tap Cancel EGC button.
  4. A notification will be display stating that the cancellation was successful.

There is a new version of the Security Bank mobile app available on Google Play (beta version) and App Store. But you will need to re-enroll to access your account with this new version.
