How to pay PLDT bill using Security Bank mobile app

“Experience better banking anywhere you go” – Security Bank tagline as they introduce their mobile banking app. This app can be downloaded to your smart phone via Google Play, App Store, or App Gallery. 

The Security Bank mobile app is designed to make it easy for customers to access their account online. The features that are available in the app are the following:

  • Fund Transfer
    • transfer funds to your other Security Bank accounts
    • send money via InstaPay to e-wallets (GCash, Pay Maya, etc) and other local banks (BDO, Metrobank, etc)
    • eGiveCash – cardless solution to your gift giving and cash transfer needs
    • Receive eGiveCash
  • Pay bills
    • Utility bills – water, electricity, internet
    • Insurance
    • Schools
    • Credit Card
    • Investments
    • Others
  • Buy mobile recharge/load
  • Schedule Transaction – pay bills or transfer funds on a later date or schedule date

There is a new version of the Security Bank mobile app available on Google Play (beta version) and App Store. But you will need to re-enroll to access your account with this new version.

Pay PLDT bill 

 

In this guide, the new version of the Security Bank app is used to pay the bill. Here are the steps on how to pay your PLDT bill in the app:

  1. Upon login, tap the Bills icon at the bottom of the main page. 
  2. To pay the bills, press the Select Payment Account button.
  3. Then, choose the source account from which the amount will be deducted.
  4. Now, you can select the biller by tapping Choose Biller & Product button.
  5. From the list, select PLDT. You can also use the search option to type the biller and select it.
  6. Enter the PLDT Account Number. You also have an option to save the biller as a favorite so it will be easier for your next payment. Tap Proceed button.
  7. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  8. Enter the amount to be paid. You have the option to schedule the payment, choose from:
    1. Immediate Payment
    2. Scheduled Payment (set a later date)
    3. Recurring Payment
  9. Review the details and press Confirm button to process the transaction.
  10. Another OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Encode the 6-digit OTP.
  11. A notification will be displayed that the payment has been processed successfully. A reference number will be generated for this transaction.
