How to reload EasyTrip RFID account in GCash app

Instead of paying cash at the tollway station, RFID was introduced to have cashless transactions as you pass through the major highways. With this, EasyTrip RFID was introduced by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) which operates the following expressways:

      • Cavite-Manila Expressway (Cavitex)
      • Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX)
      • C5 Southlink
      • North Luzon Expressway (NLEX)
      • Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX)

Make sure before you travel to check if your RFID account has enough balance. To verify the current balance of your account, here is the quick guide:

And if you want to recharge your EasyTrip RFID account, there are reloading partners available, either over-the-counter and online. One way to reload your EasyTrip account is to use your GCash app. Below are the step-by-step instructions on how to recharge your card in GCash.

Download the GCash mobile app, using Google Play for Android phones or download in the Apple Store for iPhone and iPad users. Click the icon below and it will be directed to GCash mobile app.  You can also find this mobile app by typing GCash in Google Play or Apple Store search tab.

To add cash to your account, click this link to show the quick guide on How to Add Cash on your GCash account.

Now, here's how to recharge your EasyTrip RFID card

1 On the main dashboard, tap the Pay Bills icon to start the process.

2 Under Biller Categories, select the Transportation icon.

3 Under Transportation, browse and tap the EasyTrip.

 

4 Enter the EasyTrip Account Number and the amount you want to recharge. Please note that the minimum amount you can load is PhP 500. And there is a PhP 12 transaction fee for this.

Review the details and tap the NEXT button.

5 Select the payment source from which you want to deduct the amount. Either from your GCash fund or GCredit. And press the NEXT button.

6 Review the transaction details and tap the CONFIRM button. Please note that there will be an additional transaction fee for this payment.

7 Once the payment is successful, the payment reference number with the details of the transaction will be enumerated. Click the DONE button to go back to the main dashboard.
