How to activate OTP Generator in BDO Mobile App

One Time Password or OTP is a temporary numeric password that secures your Online Banking login and transactions. It is a unique 6-digit code that can only be used once. It will be sent to your registered mobile number or by using an OTP Generator.

For the security of BDO Online Banking users, you are always required to input an OTP or One-Time-Password. You can either receive this code via SMS in your registered mobile number or you can generate an OTP via OTP Generator in BDO Mobile Banking.

As an alternative to OTP via SMS, OTP Generator once activated in your BDO Mobile Banking app can be accessed even without internet connection.

1 Open the BDO Mobile Banking app. Enter your Username and Password. Tap the LOGIN button to go to your account.

 

2 From the bottom menu, tap the MORE icon. Then, select Settings option.

 

3  To subscribe to OTP Generator in your mobile device indicated, tap the button to enable it.

 

4  To confirm the subscription to OTP Generator, tap the CONTINUE button. Take note that this feature will only work if the date and time on your mobile device is set to automatic or network-provided time. To do this:

  • For Android/Samsung users, on your mobile device, go to Settings – General Management – Date and Time – Automatic date and time (tap button to enable)
  • For iOS users, on your mobile device, go to Settings – General – Date and Time – Set Automatically (tap button to enable)

5  Now, you have successfully subscribed to OTP Generator for your BDO Online Banking and BDO Nomura login. You can access OTP Generator via Mobile Banking Login screen even without internet connection. 

6 To view OTP Generator, go to BDO Mobile Banking login menu and tap the OTP Generator icon. This 6-digit OTP is generated every 30 seconds
