During the pandemic, e-payment, or online payment, grew more popular in the Philippines, especially among young professionals. As of February 2020, according to a poll conducted by Rakuten Insight in the Philippines, 49 percent of respondents completed their transactions using an e-payment method numerous times each month. This option is preferred by the majority of respondents because of its advantage such as being faster and more convenient.

Furthermore, Filipinos believe that online payments provide fewer financial risks and more advantages to both the merchant and the consumer than traditional methods, in which the seller may have to verify the integrity of the cash payment or deal with the expenses associated with a failed check. Paying online also eliminates the need to carry cash with you because you may pay through QR code or transfer which is more convenient especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic wherein individuals have begun to seek ways to minimize human contact in order to prevent being infected by the coronavirus.

With the advent of online payment, purchasers and homeowners may now pay their reservation to start house construction, amortization, and downpayment using various internet facilities where ever they are and whenever they want. Most developers in the Philippines use this payment method and one of these developers is Vista Land Philippines.
