Link Union Bank to top-up GrabPay wallet for free

Cash-in to your GrabPay account for FREE by linking your bank account.  Currently there are two banks available to link to GrabPay wallet: BPI and Union Bank. BDO is also listed, but currently unavailable as of this writing.

Aside from linked bank account, there are other ways to fund your GrabPay wallet such as e-wallet and online bank transfer via InstaPay, debit card or credit card. Just take note that for InstaPay and card transactions, there will be an additional fee for using these methods.

For this guide, it will show the steps on how to link your UnionBank and to fund the GrabPay wallet using the UnionBank-linked account.

Link UnionBank to GrabPay account

  1. In the Grab main dashboard, tap the Balance icon.
  2. In the GrabPay wallet, press Cash-in button.
  3. From the list of cash-in methods, select Linked Bank Account.
  4. Choose UnionBank from the list to request bank link.
  5. To start linking the account, tap Link Now button.
  6. Enter your UnionBank online login credentials, username and password and tap LOG IN button.
  7. Enter the 6-digit OTP code sent to your registered mobile number and press the SUBMIT button.
  8. Select the Union Bank account that you want to link and tap AUTHORIZE button to continue.
  9. Your request has been submitted. Tap OK to continue.

Top-up using the UnionBank-Linked account

  1. Once the link is approved, the linked UnionBank account will be listed under Your linked account. Select that account to top-up your GrabPay wallet.
  2. Enter the amount you want to cash-in and press Next button.
  3. Review details and confirm. Then, click Cash In button to process the transaction.
  4. Top-up has been successful. Check your balance if the amount has been added to your account.

Unlink UnionBank Account

  1. To unlink your UnionBank-linked account, go to GrabPay wallet menu and tap the Settings icon located at the upper right corner.
  2. Select All payment methods.
  3. From the list of linked bank accounts, select the Union Bank account you want to unlink.
  4. Once selected, tap the Unlink Account and it will be removed from the list of linked bank accounts.

If you want to link back the account, just follow the steps in linking an account again as shown above.

After you unlock the GrabPay wallet, you may now add funds to it, which can be used for payment on your GrabFood order, Bills payment, GrabRide request, and any other Grab service.
