With GCash app, you can now pay your SSS monthly contribution using PRN. This PRN or Payment Reference Number is a generated number from your SSS online account. You need this number when paying your monthly SSS contribution as it will serve as the reference number for the payment.
There are 4 member-type that can pay a SSS contribution via GCash, namely:
- Self-Employed
- OFW
- Voluntary
- Non-Spouse
Aside from SSS, you can also pay for other Government Services listed under the Government category of Pay Bills feature in GCash.
Pay SSS Contribution
1 On the main dashboard, tap the Pay Bills icon to start the process.
2 Under Biller Categories, select the Government icon.
3 Under Government, browse and tap the SSS CONTRIBUTION name.

4 Enter the following details and tap the NEXT button.
- Amount – Enter the amount to be paid based on what is indicated in the PRN
- Account Type – Select PRN
- Payment Reference Number – Enter the generated PRN
- Payor Type – Select which SSS member type is the member belongs to:
- Self-Employed
- OFW
- Voluntary
- Non-Spouse
- Email Address – Enter your email address (GCash will send the receipt to that email)
Click the NEXT button to continue.
5 Review your transaction, then click the CONFIRM button to process the payment.
6 Once the payment is successful, the details of the transaction will be enumerated same as below. Click X button to go back to the main dashboard.
You will also receive an SMS as well as an email with the Payment Receipt once the bill payment has been successful.
Check SSS Contributions
To verify if your payment has been updated, login to your SSS account and see your monthly contribution payment.
