There are several types of SSS members based on employment status and contributions:

For paying the monthly SSS regular contributions, the contributions for employed members are typically deducted from their salaries and remitted directly to the SSS. These payments should be reflected in their individual SSS accounts. In contrast, self-employed members, voluntary members, and OFWs must pay their contributions on their own.
Self-employed members, voluntary members, and OFWs can utilize the SSS online portal to generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN) for the online payment of their contributions.
For this guide, it will discuss on how to generate PRN in your SSS Online portal which will be used to pay your monthly SSS contributions:
- Visit the SSS Website: Go to the official SSS website using this link, SSS Member Portal
- Enter your Username and Password, and press the Sign In button to login to your account. If you do not have an online account yet, click the Create Now button below.
3. To ensure that you are logging into your own account, you will need to enter a One-Time Password (OTP). This OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Please enter the 6-digit code you receive and then click the LOGIN button to proceed.
4. Once you successfully login to your account, in the menu, go to Payment Reference Number tab and select Contributions.
5. The Generate PRN window will open. Select the appropriate information for each field:
- Membership Type: Choose either OFW or Voluntary (Self-Employed members may also select the Voluntary option).
- Applicable Period: Indicate the month for which you want to make the payment. If you are paying for only one month, select the same month for both the “From” and “To” fields.
- Contribution: Specify the amount of your monthly payment.
- Pension Booster Amount: You can optionally add any amount, which will be added to your pension.
- Total Amount: This represents the total amount that you need to pay.
Once you have completed all the entries, click the Generate PRN button.
6. Review the details you have provided and press the Pay button to continue.
7. If you wish to pay via Billeroo, click the Continue button. Please note that there will be an additional charge added to your payment if you are going to use this option.
If you prefer to pay directly using the GCash or Maya app, click the Close button. Make sure to take note of the generated PRN for your payment.
Here is the generated number to be used for your payment. This number is required when making payments via GCash, Maya, or any other app that accepts SSS PRN payments. Additionally, some online banking services also accept this PRN for paying your SSS contributions.
Once your payment is made, your contributions for the indicated months will be credited to your SSS account within a few minutes. To verify, simply go to Membership Information and click on My Contributions.
